Job Title: Salesforce Developer/Architect

Location: London Clapham SW4 (1 day a week), WFH (1 day a week) / Netherlands (minimum 3 days a week)

Reports To: Director of IT (9ine’s Operations Director) 

Salary: Negotiable based on experience 

 

We are looking for a Salesforce Developer/Architect. This role is ideally suited for a Developer looking to move into consultancy and improve their skills as an Architect. Experience of managing Salesforce is essential and the candidate must have experience in working with managed Salesforce packages and apps. Must be willing to travel in the Netherlands on a weekly basis. This role is suitable for a contractor or permanent employee. 

As a successful candidate, you will have experience of supporting Salesforce CRM platforms, and supporting Salesforce native systems across multiple business areas, including Finance, Marketing and Recruitment. You will have previous experience in supporting members of staff using Salesforce Service Cloud, or alternative service desk solutions. You must hold the relevant certifications.

Our assessment process takes into consideration the following:

  • A technical task linked to Salesforce;

Role Description

The Salesforce Developer will take overall responsibility for managing and supporting the Salesforce CRM platform, whilst being responsible for the requirements gathering, development, and administration of Salesforce products across the business. This person will manage the configuration and integration of multiple Salesforce applications as well as interacting with external consultants and vendors. Your primary focus will be custom Salesforce development and integration with third-party services. There will be a requirement to provide business as usual support which may involve carrying out tasks that are more appropriate for a Salesforce Administrator. 

The successful candidate will assist in improving the current configuration of Salesforce, and help inform the longer term staffing needs for the organisation. A commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and creating quality products is essential.

 

 

Systems and Service Duties 

  • Support new and existing Salesforce user base with questions and issues in and across Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, Nonprofit Success Pack, Pardot and Community Cloud
  • Translate functional requirements into technical requirements
  • Design and build high-performance, reusable, and reliable Apex code with best practices
  • Develop and maintain Salesforce implementation/development roadmap
  • Ensure the best possible quality of the application
  • Maintain, prioritize and report on user request backlog
  • Gather requirements, document business processes and implement configuration changes

Using process builder, flow, validation rules and high performance, reusable, and reliable Apex code following Salesforce best practices 

  • Document system configuration and administrative processes
  • Make recommendations to management regarding implementation as appropriate
  • Identify bugs and align with requirements during debugging
  • Test bug fixes to make sure they work as per requirements (in Sandbox), then deploy them to production
  • Administration setup, e.g., managing users, security controls, and data as well as creating roles, profiles, and reports
  • Designing custom objects, custom fields, picklists, page layouts, workflow, approval processes, validation rules, custom tabs, reports, Visualforce pages, dashboards, and email generation according to application requirements
  • Experience in utilising standard build opposed to custom development

 

 

Experience and Education

  • >5+ years’ experience with Salesforce 
  • Experience of working as a Salesforce Administrator
  • Experience in developing a product which is sustainable from a support perspective  
  • Salesforce.com Developer Certification
  • Experience of working as a consultant and architect 
  • Desire to work towards Architect Certification with a demonstrable plan (either Application or Technical with the goal being CTA)
  • Well-developed and demonstrated spoken and written English skills
  • International and intercultural working experience is preferred
